Role Based in Gympie, QLD

Internally referred to as Coordinator - Growth Management

About the Role

Help shape the future of one of Queensland's fastest-growing regional communities.

Reporting to the Manager Strategic Planning and Growth, you'll lead Council's Growth Management Program, delivering strategic planning initiatives that support housing, infrastructure and sustainable regional development.

Duties

  • Lead Council's Growth Management Strategy and major planning projects
  • Deliver structure planning, land supply and growth sequencing initiatives
  • Provide expert advice on strategic planning and development outcomes
  • Build partnerships with government agencies, developers and industry stakeholders
  • Manage consultants and deliver projects on time and within budget

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Degree in Urban Planning, Development Management or a related discipline
  • Experience in growth management, strategic planning or land use planning
  • Experience developing Master Plans and negotiating Infrastructure Agreements
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland planning legislation
  • Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence or ability to obtain one
