What a Site Service Technician Does
Our Site Service Technicians play a critical role in supporting mining operations by manufacturing, repairing, testing and certifying NLT products, helping ensure the safety, reliability and performance of underground communication and safety systems.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Inspecting, testing, diagnosing and repairing electrical and communication devices
- Working closely with the Product Development team to support continuous product improvement
- Assembling and testing LV and explosion-protected skids for underground use
- Providing expert product support and electronic repairs across customer sites
What We're Looking For
While specific requirements may vary depending on the opportunity, we're generally interested in candidates who have at least 1-2 years' experience working with electrical, communications or telecommunications equipment.
Ideally, you will also possess:
- Cert III or IV in Telecommunications (or equivalent)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Restricted Electrical Workers Licence (or the ability to obtain one)
The following experience would also be highly regarded:
- Underground mining experience
- Communications networks and infrastructure
- Qualifications or trade backgrounds in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Communications or Telecommunications
- AS3800 Certification
