Cairns Regional Council was created at the Local Government Elections on 15 March 2008, as a result of the State Government's merger of Cairns City and Douglas Shire Councils.

The council has an operating budget at more than $240 million and is a significant local economic driver. It is also one of the regions largest employers with a workforce of around 1300 people.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Leader and Manager Development Assessment, you will be responsible for undertaking assessment of development applications, as well as managing specific planning projects when required.
