About the Organisation
Breakaway Toowoomba Incorporated is a respite family support agency that has been providing a service to people with a disability and their families in Toowoomba and nearby outlying towns, for close to 20 years. Respite services are facilitated in a range of ways including In-Home and/or Community Access, Rural and Remote respite, Vacation Care, and through the organisation's Guesthouses at Highfields and Glenvale.

About the Opportunity
If you have excellent financial and administrative skills, and are passionate about helping to make a difference in the community, Breakaway has a fantastic part time opportunity for a Finance Support Officer to join their dedicated Toowoomba team.
The primary focus of this pivotal and hands-on role will be to oversee a range of financial, accounting and clerical services within Breakaway, also liaising with clients when required.
More specifically, some of the position's duties and responsibilities will include:
- Administering bookkeeping and/or accounting systems;
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets for the organisation;
- Operating purchasing, inventory, asset control, payroll and other administrative procedures; and
- Preparing fortnightly payrolls, Salary Sacrifice accounts, client and brokerage invoices.
Breakaway is interested in receiving applications from self-motivated, highly organised candidates with previous experience working in a similar role. In addition, you will have or be willing to acquire a current Disability Services Queensland Positive Notice Card, a Working with Children Blue Card and a driver's licence.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Administration, Business or Accounting will be held in high regard, but is not essential for this role. Experience using MYOB and similar applications will be advantageous, but not essential.
Additionally, it is essential you are computer competent with a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
