 Job Description
About the Organisation

Lung Foundation Australia is a national, not-for-profit organisation and the only national charity dedicated to supporting anyone with a lung disease. As a first point-of-call for patients, their families, carers, health professionals and the general community, their vision is to ensure that lung health is a priority for all in Australia and to promote lung health by:

* Educating the community in lung health and early detection of lung disease;

* Reducing the burden of lung disease in the community through patient and carer support;

* Influencing public policy, through advocacy across all levels of government; and

* Raising funds for medical and scientific research.

About the Opportunity

Lung Foundation Australia now has a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Respiratory Project Coordinator to join their team based in Milton, Brisbane, commencing January, 2017. Reporting directly to the General Manager - Thoracic Cancer & Rare Lung Diseases, this person will also work closely with the General Manager - COPD National Program and split their time between both program areas.

The Coordinator role is a varied and busy one - responsible for supporting various projects and programs of the Lung Foundation, through providing quality administrative and logistical support. This will involve a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

1 Coordination and support for campaigns, programs, projects including World COPD Day, Patient Networks and Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist Groups;

2 Stakeholder, patient and health professional network building;

3 Supporting the delivery of successful grant-funded projects, as assigned or when funding becomes available; and

4 Coordinating the review and update of patient, clinical and advocacy resources across both programs, including brochures, info graphs and websites.

To be considered, you will have prior experience in a project coordination role and the demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks at any given time, whilst still ensuring effective and on-time service delivery. Previous experience in a not-for-profit and/or community health organisation, or experience in a customer engagement capacity would be viewed favourably but is not mandatory for your success.

About the Benefits

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and driven individual who's ready to take the next step in their career. With a history of internal mobility and developing key performers, a career with Lung Foundation Australia will enable the right candidate to reach their potential and grow with the organisation.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you'll be provided with an attractive salary of $60,000, commensurate with skills and experience, plus super, salary packaging options and FBT concessions.

Working in a family friendly and people focused organisation, you'll enjoy a flexible environment that nurtures and supports you! You'll also benefit from a convenient Milton location, with public transport close by.

If you have a 'can do' attitude, the ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment, a demonstrable commitment to Lung Foundation Australia values and a determination to succeed, this could be the role for you!
